Scientific Department of Educational and Information Technologies

The Scientific Department of Educational and Information Technologies is a structural unit which main objectives are: providing an information support and assistance for scientific and educational activities in the SIS «CHIT» SAD; implementing of innovative information and communication technologies into educational and scientific activities; outspreading and exchanging an information within the domestic and international medical scientific and educational space in order to improve the organization and quality of medical care for the population based on the principles of academic integrity and respect for intellectual property rights; participating in the training of scientific and medical professionals; and carrying out the publishing activities.

The Department employs 10 staff members (including 1 doctor of sciences [DSc] and 5 candidates of sciences [PhD]: Head (PhD in Medicine, Senior Researcher – Kyrylo Mikhaliev); Principal Research Scientist – 1 (DSc in Pedagogy, Professor, Corresponding Member of the National Academy of Educational Sciences of Ukraine [Teaching Methods] – Andrii Shevtsov); Senior Research Scientists – 2 (PhD in Philology, Associate Professor [Philology, Linguistics, Translation] – Olena Mashkina; PhD in Pedagogy, Associate Professor [Scientific and Technical Information] – Hanna Inshakova); Research Scientists – 2 (PhD in Technical Sciences [Intellectual Property] – Leonid Cherepov; PhD in Law [Law/Jurisprudence] – Artem Grygorenko); Junior Research Scientists – 4 (Teaching Methods – Svitlana Burenok, Svitlana Hlabets; Programming –Andrii Horachuk; Librarianship – Nataliia Shestak).

SIS “CIHT” SAD

The main tasks of the Department are as follows:

Participation in ensuring the formation and development of a unified educational and scientific information space within the SIS «CHIT» SAD, integration into the global information space in the field of healthcare.
Information support and assistance in the planning and implementation of the scientific research projects of the scientific departments and higher education seekers in the SIS «CHIT» SAD.
Meeting the information requests of higher education seekers, scientific and other employees of the SIS «CHIT» SAD on the basis of wide access to library and information resources.
Creation of electronic databases, organization and maintenance of a reference and bibliographic apparatus using both traditional and modern information technologies.
Supporting the academic integrity system in the SIS «CHIT» SAD.
Organizing the preparation and publication of printed and electronic means of scientific communication.
Ensuring the copyright protection for intellectual property objects and innovative developments of the SIS «CIHT» SAD scientific employees.
Participation in educational activities at the second (Master’s) and third (Educational and Scientific) levels of higher education.
Provision of information and methodological support for educational and scientific events, scientific and practical conferences held in the SIS «CHIT» SAD (in cooperation with other scientific departments and institutions, including foreign partners).
Implementation of a fragment of the SIS «CHIT» SAD`s scientific research work in accordance with the department’s activity profile.

Scientific Research Perspectives until 2029

In 2025, the scientific and research project «Medical and social justification, development and implementation of the «Center of innovative healthcare technologies» model based on the trinity of science, education and practice in the work of a multidisciplinary healthcare institution and determining its role in the formation of a single medical space» has been launched (project leader: Dmytro Diachuk, Director, Principal Research Scientist of the Scientific Department of Healthcare Organization, DSc in Medicine, Professor, Academician of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine; state registration number: 0125U000318; term: 2025-2029). All scientific tasks are performed jointly by the scientists from both Scientific Department of Healthcare Organization and the Scientific Department of Educational and Information Technologies.
